Dianabol
Methandienone, widely known as Dianabol or methandrostenolone, was the first anabolic steroid that could be taken by mouth. It became available as a prescription drug in the late 1950s and quickly grew into the most famous performance compound ever used in bodybuilding and strength sports. It was introduced to the U.S. market by Ciba Pharmaceuticals in 1958 under the brand name Dianabol, with development support from Dr. John Ziegler, a physician who worked closely with U.S. Olympic weightlifting teams.
Methandienone strongly affects how the body uses nutrients. It boosts protein building, increases muscle energy storage, and improves strength in a short time. Because it is chemically altered at the C17-alpha position, the compound can survive digestion in the liver and still work when taken orally. This same feature also means it can put stress on the liver if misused.
Overall, methandienone is well known for helping users gain muscle and strength quickly or maintain gains during intense training phases when used carefully and responsibly.
Important note: Methandienone easily converts into a powerful estrogen form called methylestradiol, which is stronger than natural estrogen. Because of this, monitoring blood levels and using estrogen control methods is often needed. Since it is an oral compound, liver health support and a balanced lifestyle are important. Typical cycles are kept short and usually do not exceed 6 to 8 weeks.
